After a false start in the music business as a guitarist in 1973, I subsequently trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and having begun my career with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1977 I have been committed to being a professional actor ever since - but music is something I've never been able to leave completely behind.
In 1999, my first two CDs, Euromance and Bistrovia were released on my own label, DSP Music. Both albums feature original mediterrannean instrumental guitar music. Bistrovia (1999) has enjoyed airplay on Andy Kershaw's Radio One programme 'In Session' and Katrina Leskanich's late night show on Radio Two. Euromance is a re-issue on CD of my first album which first appeared in 1988. Now, I’m proud to announce the naissance of my third CD Noucentisme, again, a fresh collection of original instrumetal pieces for acoustic guitar with a specifically mediterranean ambience.
Someone once asked me if I could sum up my music in one sentence. I couldn’t then.
Now I can; I want to take people on holiday.
